The Definitive Voice in Business Communications

We test, analyze, and rank VoIP providers so you can make confident decisions for your business.

Our Mission

Choosing a VoIP provider shouldn't feel like gambling. Yet most comparison sites are pay-to-play directories disguised as reviews. We built VoIP Reporter to be different—a trusted source where rankings are earned through rigorous testing, not purchased placement.

We're here to cut through the noise, test what matters, and give you rankings you can actually trust.

Our Principles

Editorial Independence

We never accept payment for rankings. Providers cannot buy their way onto our list.

Hands-On Testing

Every provider is tested with real accounts, real calls, and real scenarios over weeks.

Community Validation

Our expert analysis is validated by thousands of community votes from real users.

Our scoring system is public. We publish how we test and what we measure.

Who We Are

We're telecom engineers, former IT directors, and business communication consultants who got tired of biased reviews. We built VoIP Reporter as the resource we wished existed when we were making these decisions ourselves.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are rankings determined?

We test each provider for 4-6 weeks with real accounts. Rankings are based on five weighted categories: Reliability (30%), Features (25%), Support (20%), Value (15%), and Innovation (10%). Community votes validate our findings but don't determine placement.

Can providers pay for better rankings?

Absolutely not. We maintain strict editorial independence. Providers cannot buy placement, and we don't accept payment for reviews. Rankings are earned through performance, not purchased.

How does community voting work?

Users can vote once per provider. Votes serve as community validation of our expert analysis—they show which providers resonate with real users. Vote counts are displayed but don't change the editorial rankings.

How often are rankings updated?

We conduct comprehensive reviews quarterly. If a provider makes significant changes (major feature release, pricing overhaul, service issues), we'll re-test and update rankings outside the regular cycle.

Do you accept advertising?

No. We don't run ads from VoIP providers to avoid conflicts of interest. Our site may feature non-competing advertisers, but provider advertising would compromise our independence.

What if my provider isn't listed?

We welcome provider submissions. Visit our submission page to recommend a provider. We review all submissions quarterly and test those that meet our coverage criteria.

Are these reviews biased?

Every review has a perspective, but we test objectively using published criteria. We document our methodology transparently so you can evaluate our process. We have no financial relationships with ranked providers.

How do you make money?

Currently, this is a passion project. Future revenue may come from non-competing advertising or affiliate partnerships with business software (not VoIP providers). We'll always disclose any commercial relationships.

Can a provider improve their ranking?

Yes, absolutely. Rankings reflect current performance. If a provider improves their service, features, or support, that will be reflected in our next review cycle. We've seen providers move up (and down) based on real changes.

Who reviews the providers?

Our team includes telecom engineers, former IT directors, and business communications consultants with decades of combined experience deploying and managing VoIP systems.

Do you test every feature?

We test core PBX features, call quality, mobile apps, support responsiveness, integrations, and admin interfaces. We can't test every edge case, but we cover what matters to most businesses.

How can I contact you?

Visit our contact page for inquiries. We respond to most messages within 1-2 business days. For press inquiries, see our press page.
